Sony and Graal have begun a significant collaboration in the field of complete cinema projection systems, targeting the Greek and Cypriot market with Sony’s Digital Cinema and 3D Cinema solutions. D-Realm, a new business unit created during this recent collaboration, concentrates on the promotion and reliable installation of complete cinema projection solutions, while simultaneously providing high-quality specialized technical support.
Sony’s CineAlta 4K SXRD is absolutely reliable, efficient, functional and its quality meets price value. It is also based on DCI (Digital Cinema Initiatives) specifications, providing 2K, 4K and 3D picture projections. The CineAlta 4K system incorporates the leading stereoscopic technology of RealD, the most commonly used system for the projection of 3D films worldwide, while at the same time offering up to 4K analysis, something which offers 4 times the amount of pixels offered in a 2K projection.
An added incentive that digital cinema offers is the possibility of projecting alternative content such as live concerts, opera’s and athletic events.
In upcoming years there is expected to be an increase in the amount of digital cinema projectors being used in Greece and Cyprus (partly due to the increasing production of high analysis and 3D films), which contributes greatly to the significant demand for an upgrade in high quality cinematographic projectors.
